💳 Step 1. Buy and Top Up a Transit Card (T-money)

• Where to buy: Convenience stores at Incheon/Gimpo Airport and inside every subway station, or single-use ticket machines within the station.

• Tip: The most convenient way is to buy a 'T-money' card at an airport convenience store, then top it up with cash (KRW) at a Ticket Vending Machine inside the station.

• ※ For single-use transit cards, you must get a 500 KRW deposit back from the refund machine after exiting, so we recommend a rechargeable card.

• Tag your card: Lightly touch your transit card to the sensor pad on the right side of the gate until you hear a beep.

• Check the direction: The Seoul subway is distinguished by 'station numbers' and 'colors (lines).' Check your destination station's number and the terminal-station direction on the signs, then head down to the platform.
